Google Earth

On April 22nd, 3DNature released an add-on for their SceneExpress exporter for World Construction Set and Visual Nature Studio (official announcement here). This add-on allows a WCS or VNS scene to be exported to KML/KMZ for viewing in Google Earth. These samples were made that way.

The Loo Palace in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands. Data is supplied by the City of Apeldoorn, department of Ruimtelijke Informatie.
The palace itself is a 3d model, originally produced in 3d Studio Max and from there exported as an .obj so it could be included in a VNS scene. The other houses are VNS walls, pulled down from 3d polygons.
Monterey, CA. A rendered terrain, draped over the Google Earth terrain. The original VNS project used SRTM data, which may or may not be the same data as is available in Google Earth.
Again Monterey, CA, but this time an oblique view, looking southeast.
